Why Shop? Cause.
On Saturday, April 26 (raindate April 27) from 10am-4pm, the Boston chapter of the National Organization for Men Against Sexism (NOMAS-Boston) will be working with several local domestic violence (DV) organizations and students groups to host a Super Supply Drive. Volunteers from these groups will be collecting supplies for DV shelters outside supermarkets and drugstores in Cambridge, Somerville and Boston.
Please stop by one of the collection sites to pick up a shelter "wish list". Items needed include toiletries, baby products, cleaning supplies and gift cards. Volunteers will be on hand to provide DV resources and answer questions. Join us in support of these shelters and Sexual Assault Awareness month.
This event represents the growing recognition that countering sexual assault and domestic violence is in fact a 'men's issue' as well as a 'women's issue.'
