I love watching these reports because as they say how dangerous it is and how you should not leave your house they are out there getting into trouble. Driving those minivans in the snow, standing on walls over the ocean.
Along those lines
I'm waiting for a reporter to be seriously hurt when they go out to "cover" a hurricane. A few have been blown over in the past, but having a piece of sheet metal go through someone's leg may get the point across. I'm tired of reporters standing out in the wind claiming that winds are hurricane force. If they actually were, they wouldn't be able to stand up. I think it sends a misleading message to the public that, "Oh, that doesn't look so bad."

Viewers look at these bozos and say, oh that's no big deal.
Not to mention, they always show guys surfing in storms like this. What message does that send? Wow, look at those waves, I've GOT to get to that beach so I can go surfing in that too.

in true Ch. 7 fashion, while they reported from Scituate, the chyron said "Hingham". They went to commercial, came back to the reporter in Scituate and it STILL said "Hingham", indicating that even THEY don't want to watch this crap...

C'mon, she got hit by a little spray from a wave hitting rocks. Let's not make this more than it is.

It's hardly by choice that reporters are sent out on these "live shots." One told me he really hated it. What do the idiot news directors think they're adding to the story by placing their personnel in danger? We'll take their word for it, it's stormy out there. They don't have to kill any reporters to prove it.

people like us talk about it. People will talk about it the next day at work "my Gawd didja see that girl from channel 7 get hit by the wattah?"
I still don't watch that station but they want their channel mentioned at the water cooler I guess
