May monthly payment jumped 38% from March to April and I'm now unable
to search for a new plan because the revised rates aren't available.

Ya unfortunately Patrick can slow rates (temporarily) but he can't force companies to sell you a policy at a loss. Just the tip of the iceberg. Get used to it. You've been caught in an election year gimmick.

When BC started in on their BS and hit us with a 36% increase, my boss demanded justification for that rate raise. We are prtty good with data around here, so if our people couldn't find any data to justify that whallop ... well, we wanted to see what they came up with.

They hemmed, hawed, and then cited factors which, at most, would have amounted to a 11% increase based on their own data.

Sorry crazylegs, but this isn't about "selling policies at a loss". This is about profiteering from small organizations with no collective bargaining power. The data and facts do not bear out their - or your - side of the story here. Which is why the insurance commission slapped them down and the judge upheld their ruling.

I love it. Instead of arguing cold facts you lefties love to tell your little "stories". Next you'll be telling me about your Aunt Ida that has to wear her sister's dentures because she can't get health insurance.

Did you see this headline in the Glob today: "Doctor shortage? 28 states may expand nurses' role" This is the next step towards your world under ObamaCare. You won't actually get to see a doctor when you want. Too expensive because ya see demand is high. Want a heart transplant? Well how bad is the blockage? Can it wait wait a few years?

Keep drinking the koolaid. This is fun to watch.

That's strange. Mass still isn't offering any plans other than "Celticare" whatever that is. Didn't they hear our esteemed governor? This from the Commonwealth Care website:

"the Division of Insurance instructed insurers to recalculate the affected rates and provide plans for sale by Friday, April 9, 2010. Once we receive the new rates, we must test and verify them before we can present them here."
