Citizens Complaint of the day: Standstill traffic by the MFA

Filed on Citizens Connect on Saturday from Huntington Avenue:

Saturday 4/23 Huntington ave traffic at a standstill near the MFA. Perhaps they need to rethink whether making Museum Rd have traffic in both directions was really a good idea.

Sarcasm: the best way to make a complaint.

How does making a tiny, 1 block long street into 2 directions have ANY affect on traffic elsewhere?

Doesn't traffic always suck on Huntington Ave, especially past the MFA by Brigham Circle?

Always get stuck in the 66 there.

So, based on my sources, there could be more traffic as a result of making Museum Road two-way, since people leaving the Museum parking garage can now turn right toward Huntington, but, I agree, it's probably has a nominal effect on traffic.

Most-likely, it was that the Chihuly exhibit is so overwhelmingly popular that the Museum was crowded. And, even though it was a Saturday, last week was vacation week for a lot of schools, so you probably had runover from that.
