Oh, yeah, today's also Evacuation Day, to commemorate the withdrawal of British troops from Boston. Spearmintkitten took in the Evacuation Day commemorations on Fort Hill in Roxbury.

Those redcoats
That's what they get for not wearing green.
Come on Adam
Why do you keep insisting Fort Hill is in Roxbury? It's its own distinct neighborhood.
Sure it's its own neighborhood...
...a neighborhood that's part of Roxbury. Since approximately 289408095 different posters use "anon", I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or sincere, but Fort Hill is clearly part of Roxbury. I don't know anyone who lives on Fort Hill who would say otherwise.
Fort Hill is also called Roxbury Highlands
Can't get more Roxbury that that, really. The historic town center of Roxbury (including the First Church in Roxbury) is at John Eliot Square which is part way down the hill, and a short walk from Roxbury Crossing station.
Sub-neighborhoods
It's a distinct neighborhood, yes. In Roxbury.
