Are we gonna need a bigger bay?

The Globe's David Ryan posted a photo of something very finny sticking out of the water in Pleasure Bay today as a wind surfer circled it.

Some immediately cast doubt on the idea, saying it was more likely a sunfish, because a shark would have a tail fin sticking out of the water as well, but who knows if a giant squid out in Dorchester Bay didn't snack on that first.

The Gloucester Times, which has a particular interest in the life aquatic, says our waters have been rife with sunfish this year. A Gloucester lobster wholesaler says his lobstermen have been reporting the same.
