Maybe! In the film, Marty reads in the newspaper that the Cubs won the World Series in a 100-to-1 shot against Miami. When "Back to the Future II" was released, the Marlins hadn't joined the national league so the creators accurately predicted the expansion. As far as the Cubs winning the world series, the jury's still out.
