Cambridge Daily reports that Our Revolution, the new national progressive group started out of the ashes of the Bernie Sanders campaign, has endorsed state Sen. Pat Jehlen in her race against Cambridge City Councilor Leland Cheung, and Mike Connolly, who is running against state Rep. Tim Toomey.

I was expecting this post to be about Bernie & Phyls
What an annoying ad that is. 75% turnout? lol...
Not even a day old...
... and they're endorsing candidates all the way down to the local level.
This "Our Revolution" group really has the stink of an organization that exists primarily to reward their loyal adherents and screw anyone else who failed to "Feel The Bern".
Say what?
They're endorsing candidates! How dare they??
Wasn't that kind of the point of the whole Sanders campaign? I recall Bernie saying from day one that it wouldn't make a bit of difference to elect him if people didn't also elect progressive candidates up and down the ballot.
What?
Among my many, many issues with Jill Stein is that she has shown zero interest in trying to get Green Party candidates elected in districts where it might be very feasible. Stein is a vanity candidate on a national level or even state wide level but I think it's pretty telling that she, and her party won't even try to get here elected to the MA House in the 5th district or the like.
United Independents isn't having much success yet, but they are taking the right track in trying to get people into government.
So true!
Was discussing this the other day and the metaphor of "I want to run a marathon. No, I don't need to bother training or doing short races and working my way up; I really want to run the Boston Marathon and I don't understand why they don't just let me" came up.

Cant' for two reasons
One, out of my district.
Two, while he tries to hide it, this guy clearly has a ponytail. While it was a hairstyle popular with the founding fathers, I really can't support that.
Pat Jehlen rules!
She's Hard of Hesring herself and has been a great advocate for People with Disabilities.
She is part of the reason MA schools rock!
Long ago, she was a part of a group of parents in Somerville who joined with other parent groups in other cities and demanded equitable funding for schools in the Commonwealth. They won their lawsuit in 1993, and the result (30 years later) is part of the reason why we have the best school system in the US and one of the best in the developed world.
1993 was 30 years ago?
