Shane Doherty shows us the aftermath of a multi-car crash in Brighton's Oak Square that involved just one driver:
The truck was flying and smashed into 4 cars, then the driver took off running!

1:52AM huh? I wonder what this maniac driver was up to at that hour...
We will see more of this on weekends when the late night T service is cut.

I don't think most car thieves take the T.
thieves?
One, who said anything about thieves? Seemed like OP was referring to drunks.
Two, of course they take the T! How else do they get to the car to steal it?
trying to make the last drop?
for the last drop? 2 o'clock bar.

Judging by the picture, this is going west down Tremont St, so it's more likely they were actually leaving.
The screeching tires & impact were so loud I was able to hear this from by bedroom. Can't imagine how fast they must have been going.
Deja vu!
Hey, this happened to me a couple years ago! (My car was on the receiving end of it) Fun facts for all parties involved in this crash:
1. Liability coverage is calculated per incident, not per collision, so it's quite likely that the driver here isn't carrying enough insurance to cover repairs to all four other cars.
2. In that case, you still get to pay your deductible, because it will be treated as an uninsured motorist claim.
3. Because insurance is a Kafka-esque nightmare, it might matter what order the claims are submitted in. Get your car towed to the repair shop for an estimate tout de suite.
3a. ...unless the cops just had your car towed without asking you, in which case whatever repair shop your car was towed to is deeply in bed with the local police/towtruck racket, and you need to get your car taken somewhere else for repairs.
3b. Or, if you have a penchant for miserable quality repairs, obstructionist ownership, and blatant insurance fraud (think "billing for major components that were obviously never replaced"), I highly recommend Precision Auto in Mattapan, which you very well might have had your car towed to even though you live on the complete opposite end of the city, most likely because its owner is giving the city police kickbacks from tows.
4. The cops don't care about any of this, once the suspect is found. You'll have to beg and plead for a copy of the police report, without which your insurance company won't pay reimburse you for repairs.
5. Yes, even if the driver blows a .19 in the hospital afterwards.
Look on the bright side
I'm sure the driver will receive a stiff punishment that will dissuade him from ever doing anything this stupid again. And a pony.

For what its worth, I had a good experience with Stadium in Lower Allston. They do A LOT of this kinda stuff, so much so there is a car rental place and a number of insurance agencies across the street.
Green Ford Focus
That Green Ford Focus is still there (as of Sunday afternoon).
same thing happened to me
a few years ago pretty close to there on Gordon St. Guy apparently took off running, the cops towed the car and never even left a note. I luckily got the story from one of my neighbors. Supposedly the car owner was out of town, and didn't know who took his car, but his insurance covered everything.
