The frog who welcomes kids to the Frog Pond playground on the Common is clearly rooting for the local team in the Summer Games.

The goggles! They do nothing!
Why would the frog need goggles? And while I'm on the subject, would someone who's a life-long Bostonian please answer me this: why do half the frog sculptures in that playground have snorkeling gear? Frogs are aquatic critters, aren't they?
