Unfortunately, the musician is not playing hence also the mask. I saw elderly lady turn off the connector between the speaker and his keyboard without him noticing on purpose and music continued playing and him pretending.

It doesn't really matter. The spidermen in Times Square aren't really Peter Parker either. Plus, I have seen the real musician play before and he's talented. Keytar Bear brings happiness so let him shine.

Yes it does. Street musicians are supposed to be musicians, not tape decks.

I hope he brings his talents to Broadway Village on Sunday for the parade!

I have seen Keytar Bear perform literally hundreds of times and he has pre-recorded background music that he plays with. I can assure you he can play and play well with a mask and costume on.

I was posting IN DEFENSE OF KEYTAR BEAR , poking fun at the other poster.

looks like you're the moron, Captain Crappy.

I know Keytar Bear can play. I've seen him do it (albeit not hundreds of times).

And why does he have to be so friggin loud? It's a problem whenever he sets up within a 3-block radius of my office. It doesn't help other street musicians either.
