None of the bagels available around Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Chelsea have the authentic textures, fragrance, flavor of the best New York bagels.

I'll keep going to Kupel's right across(ish) the street from Butcherie, and be glad that the line is just one person shorter because theszak heads to the City every weekend for his bagels, schmear, and lox.

P.S. Kupel's isn't open on Saturdays, so plan accordingly.

...there are excellent bagels at the Boston Public Library cafe.

The Butcherie posted on the Jewish Boston mailing list this morning:

Cholov Yisrael milk and sterns bread will be available at cafe Eilat. We are working hard to get the store open as soon as possible.
Thank you for your support!

In terms of actual practices how are https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chalav_Yisrael practices different from Halal https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halal practices for milk?
