You'll be able to strap in for new Museum of Science presentation on subway germs
You might recall the study results that came out in June showing germs on the T were no worse for you than germs anywhere else.
A team at the Museum of Science is preparing a presentation for museum visitors on the study and they T has agreed to loan them an actual subway strap for use in the talk.
In the study, researchers at Harvard's T.H. Chan School of Public Health found that while Boston subway cars and trolleys were not more disgusting than the world on the other side of the fare gates, there were differences in the types of bacteria found on different surfaces in the system. Subway straps, for example, were more likely to be coated in the types of microorganisms found in your average rider's mouth than seat covers or the surfaces of CharleCard machines.

I'm surprised no one has
I'm surprised no one has gotten jock itch from one of those fabric seats on the red and orange lines. Those things creep me out, especially since you can't tell if they're wet.
Don't worry!
Urine is sterile! You can eat off those seats!
I somehow insist on standing, however. Don't want to wrinkle my suit.
well
I haven't gotten that unpleasant ailment...yet. but I feel the seat before I sit down after sitting on a soaked seat one night. Luckily I was going home. They are a bad idea.
