A little fun in the snow

A Patriots fan waiting for the parade inscribed a, um, hearty message for NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in the snow in Copley Square park this morning.

And WBZ wants to use it on the air. LMAO.

ESPN to request to be able to use it.

Barstool sports already used it. Just pulled up in my news feed!

But I still think we could do without the use of swear words in public places. And the phallic drawing is definitely over the line, IMHO.

Now get off my lawn, you kids.

Keep it classy, Patriots fans...

Yeah, on my way to work this afternoon I got to encounter lots of obnoxious, inebriated college types leaving the parade. As for the message to Goodell, it seems gratuitous given that the team and Robert Kraft sent the only message that matters on Sunday night. I love the Pats, but am over the mob fandom.

Never a pleasant experience, but unless you've just arrived, this can't be a new experience for you -- particularly if FenRes means "Fenway Resident" (my old neighborhood). Obnoxious, inebriated college types don't need a Superbowl victory parade to get 'em going...St. Pat's, Halloween, Friday night, Saturday night, start of term, end of term, midterm, Eagles game, Terriers game, full moon, day ending in a y...

There were many signs at the parade that were hilarious and free of profanities. My favorites:

"Goodell listens to Nickelback"

"Goodell wears crocs"

etc.

But the ship has sailed on trying to rein in profanities and depictions of genitalia in parades. I saw enough F-bombs and gigantic vagina lips flapping in the breeze during the women's march to last several lifetimes.

This is a masterpiece. I applaud whoever did this.
