Members of city board learn you're not allowed to whisper in a public meeting

The Boston Sun reports the Back Bay Architectural Board got cited by the Attorney General's office for the way members of its violations subcommittee started whispering to each other during a public hearing on a controversial Hereford Street matter. The state Open Meeting Law requires public boards to speak in clear, if not necessarily dulcet, tones that people sitting in the room can hear.
