NBC Boston reports the state attorney general's office is investigating a company that promises to send you a Boston-lovin' T-shirts and stuff for just the cost of shipping - and then signs you up for monthly payments of $38.80 a month.

It's why we have trademark laws in the first place. I hope the guy who owns the store in the mall sues the other guy into bankruptcy.

Not to be confused with I love Boston Sports co. which has nothing to do with these scammers and has been dragged into this.

I've found the best way to avoid recurring charges is to use a temporary CC number that some CC cards offer. You get a one-time use number. For example, when I sign up for a one-year membership to something, they can't automatically renew it, which they always want to do.
