Boston Restaurant Talk reports a DC-based falafel place called Falafel, Inc., could be looking to expand to Boston.

Focusing on Palestinian-style falafel sandwiches that cost $3.00 along with $4.00 falafel bowls and a variety of sides such as hummus and tabbouleh salad.

Sounds yummy, but can they cover rent and payroll and make a profit with that price point? I guess time will tell.

Well, are the sandwiches of competitive size, or do they match the price? Might be a case where you'd need two to feel full.

Amsterdam Falafelshop is a chain, and pretty fantastic. It's a shame that the Kenmore location couldn't last, but they seem to be thriving in Davis where it's not predominantly suburbanites and tourists much of the year (and nothing really seems to be able to last at the old Burrito Max spot).

Amsterdam Falafel is as close to a knock off of MAOZ falafel in Amsterdam and other European cities as can be. The falafel is fantastic at both places.
