As a huge history nerd who has read more biographies on the founding fathers than I'd like to admit, I love hearing about what happened 193 years ago right here.

Maybe Mr Bell posted a link to this, but the article is not by him, it's by Amanda M. Norton.

Anyways, this is a good excuse to share my favorite picture of John Adams, painted by Gilbert Stuart the year before the visit described above.
