Such fun. The last time people actually dress up and danced and had fun while they did it when they went to nightclubs! Bunch of deadbeats at overly priced bar and clubs now.
Got drunk and played loud music next to your window when you had a 6am shift, screamed obscenities at you when you asked them to pipe down. Then smacked their gf's in the face after the clubs let out like it was required etiquette.
Classy people, all dressed up, barfing on themselves and getting violent.
I remember when Nixon won by a landslide in 1972,the late Danny Schechter the News Dissector announced "the Nixon mudslide has begun". That wasn't the kind of news they were doing on WBZ. That was the great era of 'BCN, musically and newswise. It went severely downhill in it's later years, starting in the 80s.
Sung to the tune of Christmas Tree oh Christmas Tree. An homage to the Townies from before they were priced out. (Yes, I know you still have a few knuckleheads nearby.)

The good old days of waking to the Big Mattress in the morning.
The one that sticks in my mind is the song "it's beginning to look a lot like Nixon." during the Iran Contra scandal.
I get "Springtime for Boston"
I get "Springtime for Boston" stuck in my head every so often.
Miss the old days of 'bcn
The old WBCN

Danny Schechter
Always closed his news broadcast with "That's the news. If you don't like it, go out and make your own".
The good old days.
Is that THE Billy West?
Like, Doug, Fry, Stimpy, Bugs from Space Jam Billy West? Sure sounds like him o the one voice over!
Very cool thanks for posting!
Yep, that's him
He got his start here.
If anyone remembers Jerry Williams....
....go find a recording of Billy impersonating him. Hilarious-right up there with his impression of Larry Fine.
Great song & video!
Love this song. The video was great. I saw the Citgo sign!
Nice, but its no "Somerville oh Somerville"
Sung to the tune of Christmas Tree oh Christmas Tree. An homage to the Townies from before they were priced out. (Yes, I know you still have a few knuckleheads nearby.)
Priced out?
Or sold out to go to Florida?
Sure, but their high-school drop out grandkids had to get out
of the house and move to Brockton. (whew)
We think...
You're wicked pissah!
Summ-uh-vill
Dirty water colored memories ...
Ugh. I am officially OLD.
