Fire heavily damages house on Walnut Park in Roxbury

The Boston Fire Department reports one firefighter suffered non-life-threatening injuries at a fire that broke out early this morning in an unoccupied house at the rear of 41 Walnut Park in Roxbury.

Firefighters responded around 2 a.m. to what turned into a two-alarm fire that caused an estimate 450,000 in damage, the department reports.

The cause is under investigation.
