Orange Line was delayed by burning trash; all that's left now is a heap of ash
By adamg on Thu, 05/03/2018 - 1:02pm
Shortly after 11:30 a.m., the Orange Line came to a halt so a T employee could extinguish the trash that burst into flames between Malden Center and Wellington.

Hmmmm
A trash fire as a metaphor for the MBTA...nope, rejected by the panel, too on the nose
impromptu stop
for "smoky eye" makeup
So now the T is issuing alerts
and taking trains out of service based on UNCONFIRMED reports of problems (as so stated in several recent "initial" text alerts). Interesting approach.
Then again, a suspected track fire MAY cause 10 to 15 minute delays. Taking a revenue train out of service because you suspect a track fire WILL cause at least 10 to 15 minute delays. So let's insure our alerts are accurate.
