Sue O'Connell wins 'Best of Boston' award for her NECN show, which the station has just canceled

Sue O'Connell, host of NECN's "The Take," reports this morning both that Boston Magazine has declared her the "best TV news host," and that her last show will be this Friday. But she'll be back on air: She reports she's working on a new political show on NECN.

i just listened to her on kirk minihane's podacst this morning! she was great. she's very open honest and funny. hopefully she will do better than NECN.

Even if she is working on a new show with NECN, I'll miss The Take. She did a great job, and it was a valuable local news resource, eg, right about the time when I was trying to find more info on the Suffolk DA candidates, I turned on the TV and there she was interviewing each one. Surely The Take is better than the endless Dateline reruns NECN airs in the evening now- what's up with that?
