Beacon Hill liquor store would like a word with whoever threw a brick through its window this morning - and that word is not 'hello'

Rock tosser

Beacon Hill Wine/Spirits/Gourmet, 63 Charles St., posted these fuzzy surveillance photos of the person they say threw a brick through its window between 3:30 and 4 a.m. - and is asking neighboring store owners and residents if they might have cameras that got a better shot of the guy:

As if small businesses don't have it hard enough. And listen, I get it - maybe he's a homeless guy, maybe he's feeling really desperate during this time; but he doesn't have to be an asshole.

Dad ran a store on Summer St., decorators thought a display of "Wines From Around the World" would make a great eye catching display.

As we sat for dinner that night, BPD called dad that soon after closing time, someone took a bobcat and rammed it in the windows. All the "Wines From Around the World" were gone.

None of this was a surprise to Dad or the police.

I know, I know, lbb accuses me of telling family stories too much. Can't help it, family is Boston born and bred.

That is still a great album 40 years later.

Stop being cheap and invest in better cameras.

Considering that we can use satellite camera to see if a tree falls in a forest in the Russia, why can't security cams have better resolution?

High resolution footage takes up a lot of space, especially if you're recording many hours and want to keep it for a while (after all, you might need to check back a few days) - so a lot of security cameras compromise on resolution in order to save disk space.

One of the quickest ways to virtue signal. Better cameras would have helped but that poster now gets to feel good about themself.
