Make way for canarylings in West Roxbury
By adamg on Wed, 05/06/2020 - 5:07pm
Boston Police report that when an officer doing paperwork at District E-5 was alerted a wayward canary was risking death in the Holy Name rotary just outside the station doors, he rushed into action, stopping traffic and scooping up the tweetybird for a seat of honor in his cruiser. Nobody came forward to claim the bird, so police handed it over to the MSPCA for care.

False Arrest
Pretty sure that's a parakeet
Guilty as charged
Not a parachick.
Evidence:

b. Not horrible. All parrots and parakeets are hideous monsters until they are almost full grown.
Probably a canary.
Evidence:
a.Yellow.
b. Cute.
Plea withdrawn
Okay, I see that he does have a cere (the fleshy thing around the nostrils), and appears to have a bit of a cheek patch, so he's probably a budgie. Cuteness led me astray.
I stand by the hideousness of parrot chicks. Here's a typical example:

I met my own parrot when she looked like this:

Six weeks later, when I brought her home, she was beautiful, and twenty-seven years later she's the most beautiful bird in the world. Or so I tell her.
Just yesterday on here ...
Was a posting for bird housing in Somerville. He could get a bunch of roommates and have a true Somerville living experience.
