From 311 this morning comes two reports of yellow Stars of David being spraypainted on front doors of residences on Shawmut Avenue between West Newton and West Concord streets.
I don't think there are non-nefarious reasons to spray stars of David...

False equivalence. Opposing bigotry
does not equal hate, much as right-wing racists, misogynists, queer-phobes, religious zealots and so on would like you to think so. Hating Jews and hating anti-Semitism are not remotely two sides of the same coin. Trying to both-sides hatred in this way is repugnant.
When I say "us", I mean the nearly half of the country that is either actively supporting the kind of hatred that Trump enables and encourages, or are willing to meekly look the other way because he gave them goodies like tax cuts.
It's not "all of us". But it is enough of us to make me realize with sorrow that America is not the country I once thought it was.

Some jackass in Boston spray paints graffiti on a doorway, and that triggers a diatribe against Trump who is arguably the most pro-Jewish President in US history, at least since Truman?
The most logical explanation for that reaction is hatred for Trump.

Yes, there has probably been a rise in hate crimes by Jack-asses who feel emboldened. And there has been a meteoric rise in extreme violence by unhinged lefties who are feeling... well, I don’t know what they’re feeling other than extreme sorrow that their candidate lost... It’s been truly amazing.
The few times we discussed this, you only mention assholes on the right (who I am not aligned with and most Trump supporters are not either) and have never once acknowledged the dramatic increase in random violence by those who just don’t like Trump, feel “Russia” caused his election, or they’re “fighting for the common man” or some other ridiculous sentiment.
