Man charged with brutal Middlesex Fells attack ordered to undergo psychiatric observation

WBZ reports on the arraignment of Brady McCue, charged with smashing a woman in the head with a rock and repeatedly raping her on a trail in the Middlesex Fells last week. Police were led to him in part by a coffee cup left at the scene.

According to the Herald story
The cup had a sticker with time of sale and the store number. The police went to the store and identified McCue from security cam footage.
McCue told police he had been off his meds for 3 days and had gone to the Fells looking to hurt someone.
He’s been caught, thankfully.
Here’s hoping the woman is not so physically injured that she suffers a long time or is permanently disfigured. Same with her mental health. I’m glad she survived and made it to the side of a trail and was found.
