No, Boston Man did not swallow earbud while sleeping
By adamg on Sun, 02/07/2021 - 3:54pm
The Bangor "But I Hardly Know Her" Daily News ran this headline yesterday: Boston man swallows earbud while sleeping.
As the second sentence of the story states, dude's from Worcester. That'd be like us writing "Bangor man can't read maps" about some guy from Portland.

Stop the presses!
A minor geographical inconsistency has been found! (sorry, hadda).
Heh.
Heh.
Strict boundaries
If you so much as live in Cambridge you're dead to me.
Old school Nova Scotians
... referred to the entire USA as "The Boston states"
how does that happen?
I don't know how something can fall out of your ear and into your mouth. If that were possible, we'd hear all the time about people swallowing their (non-pierced) earrings.
"average person eats 3 ear buds a year" factoid...
...actualy just statistical error. average person eats 0 ear buds per year. Ear Buds Brad, who lives in Worcester & eats over 10,000 each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted.
It could happen
You wake up in the middle of the night, think you found a peanut M&M in the bed, snack it down. I lost an SD card that way, thought it was a Pringles shard.
Their what?
Has anyone worn (non-pierced) earrings since 1967?
And were they ever wearing them while sleeping?
Some people's ears won't stay pierced
I know at least one such person, maybe more.
It it would be bad enough
If he were Acton like he was from Boston, but this is way Worcester.
..
At least he's not an Athol
Also,
the guy didn't hit a single branch when he fell off the Braintree.
I would have assumed Marblehead
.
Probably going to jump into
Probably going to jump into the race for mayor mow.
We need Boston Man
like Florida need Florida Man.
Oh well, Worcester
Nothing to see here.
I remember back in the day there was a "Boston-area" band from Worcester, whose name I have forgotten, that was actually pretty good. Their best-known song was "Got To Get Out of Worcester".
LMGTFY
Some quick searching suggests that was Roger Salloom, "America’s best unknown songwriter"
Worcester?
He might as well be from Des Moines, amirite?
