Cambridge to resume drinking its own water supply now that it has fancy carbon filters in place
By adamg on Fri, 11/18/2022 - 4:41pm
Cambridge Day reports Cambridge will be turning back to its reservoir off Rte. 128 now that it has carbon filters in place to keep most of those nasty PFAS chemicals out of the mains. Cambridge switched to MWRA water, which comes from the crystal-clear Quabbin in August because of elevated levels of the chemicals.

Cambridge took its time
Cambridge knew about their nasty water since at least 2008. I used to work at Cambridge College at 1000 Massachusetts Avenue and they had installed carbon filters for drinking water since at least 2008. Cambridge College is no longer at that address but that's a whole 'nother story.
