Drunk driver, three passengers injured after he slams into an unoccupied State Police cruiser on 95 in Norwood, police say

State Police report that a drunk driver with three people in his car rear-ended a cruiser parked by the side of I-95 northbound at the Norwood/Canton line shortly after midnight, sending all four people to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The driver will be charged with OUI, having an open container of marijuana, operating to endanger, failing to move over for an emergency vehicle and speeding, State Police say.

The cruiser was empty because the trooper driving it had pulled over to assist with a car fire, State Police say.
