Police still investigating West Roxbury crash that sent an entire family of five to the hospital
Boston Police say their investigation continues into a bizarre crash in which a driver in a parking lot somehow wound up driving his pickup onto a family of five sitting a few feet below last month, so they're not saying anything more.
"This remains an active and ongoing investigation," a spokesman said. "We have no further comment at this time."
Both parents and their three children - a toddler and two one-year-olds - had to be taken to the hospital following the Dec. 17 crash on Centre Street, just behind a brick wall that separates some benches from the Hastings Street municipal parking lot. At least one suffered critical injuries.
Friends and family of Mark and Jessica Tobin as well as community members raised more than $130,000 to help the family.
Police have not released the name of the driver.

Thanks for the follow-up
The silence about this case makes me wonder who they are trying to protect.
Makes me wonder if the driver
Makes me wonder if the driver was also a cop
I dont' see any photos of it
... but could the vehicle owner be looked up by license plate?
"Police have not released the name of the driver."
Where's the usual cast of characters calling for the name of the suspect?
Odd not to see that dog whistle at work here.
