Geese get tired of turkeys getting all the attention for perching on people's roofs

Geese are not uncommon in Jamaica Plain - except maybe on people's roofs, so as she walked her dog this morning, Ally Stoughton couldn't help but look up when she heard some loud goose calls.

I wonder if they can safely
I wonder if they can safely nest on that chimney cap?
I'm fairly sure they're shore nesters
Can't remember the last time I saw a Canada goose nest in a tree.
Canada Geese nest on the ground
From Cornell Labs: “On the ground, usually on a muskrat mound or other slightly elevated site, near water. They prefer a spot from which they can have a fairly unobstructed view in many directions.”
Ideally it should be Canadian ground, but standards have declined. I blame social media.
