Mathteacherjedi spotted a great horned owl in flight at the Arnold Arboretum yesterday morning.

I've never seen the shape of a bird like that from underneath the chin, as it were - many pictures make it seem like owls have flat faces, but perhaps the feathers angle backward more when in flight?

They can't sleep anymore due to noise pollution (fireworks, loud music, roaring engines)!!

I got a great horned owl feather in the cemetery a few years ago. Impressive creatures.
