Teen arrrested for 2022 murder on Shawmut Avenue, along with his gun-toting driver, police say

Boston Police report arresting a 17-year-old from Dorchester in East Boston yesterday on charges he used a gun to murder Hanser Abraham Moreta-Gonzalez, 26, on Shawmut Avenue in Roxbury on Sept. 29.

Police did not release the teen's name, although state law allows it, at least after he is brought into court.

Police add that another 17-year-old, with "a loaded 9mm SCCY Industries CPX-2" was driving the murder suspect down Waldemar Avenue when officers tailing them as part of their murder investigation pulled them over around 2:15 p.m.

The driver was arrested on a variety of gun charges, including possession of a large-capacity feeding device, police say.
