Alleged Museum of Science restroom grabber ordered held without bail

A Charlestown Municipal Court judge today ordered Yandri Hernandez, 24, held without bail as a potential danger to society as he awaits trial, following his arrest last week on charges he jumped out of a women's restroom stall at the Museum of Science and attacked a 15-year-old teen - who managed to escape and run out.

Yandri Hernandez, 24, who lists Somerville as his home, but whom court records identify as homeless, was already wanted on non-violent criminal charges out of Cambridge and Somerville when he was arrested for the Oct. 6 attack in a women's restroom off the museum's lobby, outside of which prosecutors say he lingered for an hour before going in and hiding himself in a stall - if not too well, since a witness told police she had noticed unusually large black-and-white sneakers poking out from under the stall door.

Hernandez was formally charged with kidnapping of a child, strangulation or suffocation and assault and battery, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office, which is prosecuting the case because the restroom was on the Boston side of the museum.

Court records show Hernandez's next court appearance is Nov. 8.

I'd rather see Yandri's name as a link in blue so the public can read all about him. If a sex offender wants to expose his smelly dick to the public, let's EXPOSE the sex offender.
