In battle of solar vs. water in Lexington, water wins

The Cambridge City Council yesterday agreed to spend $3 million to buy a 31-acre parcel on Lexington near the city's main drinking-water reservoir to keep it as a tree-filled buffer zone rather than letting a developer cut down roughly 1,000 trees to put up solar panels, the Harvard Crimson reports.

I wonder what kills your citizens faster...whatever the decrease in water quality was going to be from having solar instead of trees next to the reservoir...OR keeping the equivalent output from the Mystic station burning natural gas is...
Water always wins
When push comes to shove water always wins over electricity. People have lived for millennia without electricity but if a source of clean water isn't available that would be an extinction level event!
If push comes to shove you can always generate electricity using water so water is definitely more important.
