Missing mother, children from Stoughton found in Egleston Square

Stoughton Police canceled an Amber Alert about an hour after it was issued last night after State Police found the woman and her three children in her Rav4 at Boylston and Egleston Streets in Jamaica Plain.

Police issued the alert for Ashley Vazquez and her children - 10, 9, and 8 - and tracked them via an unspecified geolocation system, to the Egleston Square neighborhood.

The children were unharmed, police say. Police did not specify why they thought the children might be at risk.

The State Police Critical Incident Technical Investigations Team and the Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section task force participated in the search.

I was watching Dateline and the "Amber alert" crawler kept appearing at the bottom of the screen. I thought it was part of the show for the first ten minutes or so because the missing woman had the mental age of a child so in my Friday night tiredness it actually made sense to me.

My phone alarm didnt go off till later.
