New Jersey earthquake ripples through New England

See if you can spot when the quake hit. From BC's Weston Observatory.
The US Geological Survey reported a magnitude 4.8 earthquake in Lebanon, NJ at 10:23 a.m. and not long after, people across the Boston area began reporting a bit of shaking.
At 10:26, Handmaid in Jamaica Plain asked: "My apartment building just shook for a couple seconds. Anyone else feeling this in Boston???"
"Was messaging a co-worker on Slack who lives in NJ who said they were having an earthquake. Seconds later I felt it here in Boston," Darryl Houston reports.
"I felt in in Mission Hill!" JessO reports.
"Long, rolling quake - 20+ seconds in Winchester" Lori Magno reports.
"Felt it in South Boston - the chair I’m sitting in shook," LSR827 reports.
"Felt it in the South End," Johnmcboston reports.
"A coworker in Stow just felt his house shaking the same time as me in Watertown," Grahams reports.
Richard Smith reports from his Boston office: "My office chair started going back and forth for about 10 seconds. It felt different than an Amtrak train going by which vibrates my desk."
"Felt it for over a minute in Boston (North End), shaking sensation," Jessica Dello Russo reports.
"Felt it in West Roxbury. Felt like heavy machinery pounding the ground outside," Karl Seibert reports.
And yet, life went on: "Yup - and it still didn’t stop street cleaning here in Grove Hall," Chantelle617 reports.
Earlier:
In 2011, an earthquake in the Washington, DC area was felt up here as well. Some buildings were even evacuated, including 111 Devonshire St., after it was spotted leaning on a neighboring building - only it turned out it had always done that, it's just nobody noticed before.
Going further back, there was the Earthquake of 1755, which toppled the grasshopper at the top of Faneuil Hall.

Strong and noticeable in Western Mass
At first I thought it was snow sliding off the roof, but there was no sound of snow hitting the ground, so I realized what it was. That was my third and I'll die happy if I never experience another one.
ETA: what's the over/under on how long until someone starts some serious end times hysteria between this and the eclipse?

About one minute. I already saw something (ridiculously of course) connecting the earthquake and the eclipse.
Unlikely
but not impossible. At the time of a solar eclipse, the gravitational attractions of the Sun and the Moon on the Earth are precisely aligned, so that the total force is at its maximum. This must add (or subtract) something to existing tectonic stresses. It may be small, but everything matters.
Although
the three-day gap between the earthquake and the eclipse does reduce the probability to approximately zero. I was a bit fuzzy on the date of the eclipse. A shadow must have passed over my mind.
MTG says God is warning us
Marjorie Taylor Whackjob says the eclipse and earthquake are divine warnings about godless wokitude.
The epicenter was six miles away
from Trump's New Jersey golf course.
Yeah, Marjorie, we're getting a warning, all right.
There are already people
There were already people talking about the upcoming eclipse and comet 12P/Pons-Brooks as signs of the End Times. Nice to know that the signs of the end of the world are predictable years in advance, I guess.
It's a remarkably US-centric armageddon, though: this isn't even close to being the largest earthquake this week.
I didn't notice it
In the South End, I likely felt it, but attributed it to construction noise nearby. My cat did zoom from the front to back a little more than usual around then.
All quiet and placid in Allston Village
Then again with all the trucks and utility vehicles going along Comm. Ave. I've stopped noticing minor shaking.
Nothing in West Roxbury
I was working at my desk and I felt nothing. I remember a couple of years ago when I heard what was thought to be an 18-wheeler going down my street was a mild earthquake.

Felt it in Davis Square
I was in a rolling office chair on the third floor of a brick apartment building near Davis Square. The feeling was very familiar because I'd felt it twice before, sitting in the same place: the Virginia earthquake of 2011, which damaged the Washington Monument in DC, and another centered offshore near New Bedford in 2020..

Didn't notice it in E. Somerville- and do recall the 2020 South Coast one here
Area is near where I grew up in NJ and have family members who contacted me about this morning- do recall a 1980 quake that was in same area

It made me feel dizzy in the Fenway. I didn't know it was an earthquake at the time though. I thought I needed to eat something or had too much coffee.
I was on a zoom with a guy in
I was on a zoom with a guy in NJ who is one town away from the epicenter. He all of a sudden freaked out and ran to his hall to see if his kids were ok. So I had a few minutes heads up, then we felt it here in Dorcehster. Wild to know it was coming.
Felt in Somerville!
I thought it was just another large truck going down the street but there wasn't anything outside. Chalked it up to me simply missing the truck, somehow, but cool to know that it was an earthquake.
