Signal problems at Forest Hills give Orange Line trains the chills

The briefly speedy Orange Line is back to its old slow tricks due to signal problems at Forest Hills, at least according to the driver of the train the UHub mobile action news unit is currently on with its doors open and slowly beeping at Ruggles.

The key is to avoid Orange Line and public transit in general. I just try to drive everywhere even downtown.

Sure, waste your money parking downtown? You do you.

I know how to parallel park and other tricks. Although I'm often on the Common, I only ever used the garage once.

You now have an example of the new, "improved" Orange Line meeting the reality of the Orange Line.

If I recall your reporting from I believe 5 years ago, the new signalling system should be been installed by 2022, no? They were going to have periodic shutdowns of the line to get the job done quickly. They probably said something like "by shutting parts of the line for 5 week-ends, we can get it done 3 years sooner."

I can't tell if this is satire, rage bait, or if you're being genuine. Either way, "the key" to getting around a densely populated urban downtown is not to drive. It's to continue to demand the robust and reliable public transit to which we are entitled.
