BOSTON- Steven Tompkins will face a BMC Roxbury District Court Criminal Magistrate over Theft and Property Destruction on September 10, 2013.

Suffolk County Interim Sheriff Steven Tompkins of 106 Williams Street in Hyde Park will face a Criminal Magistrate over the theft and property destruction of rival Sheriff Candidate Douglas Bennett’s campaign signs in Egleston Square in Roxbury last Wednesday August 14, 2013 between 2-3PM.

In many of these thefts and destructions of personal property, Mr. Tompkins, along with another Commonwealth of Massachusetts employee from the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department, proceeded in entering these store fronts and identifying himself as the Sheriff of Suffolk County, pulling out his “sheriff’s badge” and demanding that the store owner remove the sign or they would get “on his (Tompkins') bad side.”

According to an interview with the Boston Herald's Matt Stout, Senate President Therese Murray could be running for Governor. According to Stout:

Murray — facing a March 2015 term limit as president — said she won’t decide until February or March whether she’ll seek re-election. But while she was quick to say she will finish her two-year term, she played coy when asked if she’d run for governor, giving­ a “no comment.”

Stephen "Stippo" Rakes, who claimed he was allegedly extorted for his Morrissey Boulevard Liquor Store by Whitey Bulger, Stephen Flemming, and Kevin Weeks, was found dead on Mill Street in Lincoln, MA.

At 1:30PM on 6/22/13, Vice President Joe Biden and his motorcade drove out of South Boston after getting a Hot Dog at Castle Island. The Vice President's limo is the first car seen in the video. There were two security vehicles ahead of him. The rest of his entourage follows.

According to members of the Boston Elections Department that asked to remain nameless out of fear of losing their job said that it is unlikely both Robert Cappucci and John Laing will make the ballot.

Both Touch 106.1FM Radio King Charles Clemons and former Boston City Council President Mike Ross qualified for the September 24, 2013 Preliminary Election with an impressive 3000 plus signatures to make the ballot for Boston Mayor according to Boston Elections Commissioner Sabino Piemonte.

Clemons and Ross join Arroyo, Barros, Conley, Connolly, Consalvo, Richie, Walsh, Walzciak, Wyatt, and Yancey.

"With the appointment of Andrea Cabral to the Public Safety Cabinet Position in the Governor’s administration, there will be a special election in September 2014 to elect a full-time Sheriff to serve out the remainder of a six year term which expires in 2016. Therefore, I ask for your support for Sheriff of Suffolk County. I am starting early in effort to run an aggressive and triumphant campaign.

As Sheriff, I will oversee a $122 million budget, the Nashua Street Jail and South Bay House of Correction, and the Civil Service Process here in the county.

The Boston Herald reports that U.S. Representative Stephen Lynch and Boston Mayoral Candidate Robert Cappucci, a former Boston School Committee member and police officer, were involved in a car accident yesterday in South Boston.

“I felt the bang and thought, ‘What the heck is that?’ ” Cappucci said. “I looked in the rear-view mirror and I recognized Steve. I thought, ‘That’s unbelievable that he would hit me like that.’ But he probably knew more than I did because I couldn’t see the other cars behind him.”
