A Boston resident last week sued Pho Pasteur, 682 Washington St.. in Chinatown, for the way a meal there ended last month.

In a negligence suit filed in Suffolk Superior Court, Nathalie Murcia alleges she was finishing up a bowl of pho on Sept. 20 when she asked her server for some "fresh broth to go:" Read more.

A doctor who spent 29 years in the emergency room at Tufts Medical Center yesterday sued the hospital for at least $6 million for rejecting her request for a religious exemption from Covid-19 shots in 2021 because she believes the vaccines were derived from aborted fetuses and that goes against her Christian beliefs. Boston firefighters, EMTs and paramedics responded to Genki Ya, 232 Tremont St. at Stuart Street after an SUV driver hit at least one pedestrian and then plowed into the front entrance shortly before 3:40 p.m. Read more.

A concerned resident filed a 311 complaint tonight about the unusually loud noise coming from the Vicinity Energy steam plant on Kneeland Street in Chinatown:

Very loud screeching sound coming from Vicinity Steam plant. Started around 9am yesterday and today. Still going on now.

A couple of men who began shouting "derogatory and transphobic words" at a drag queen grabbing an early morning meal last October at New Moon Villa, 15-19 Edinboro St. in Chinatown made things physical and when another person tried to break up the incipient fight, smashed a glass on his head and struck him with a chair, police told the Boston Licensing Board at a hearing yesterday. Banker & Tradesman reports a San Francisco investment firm today paid $212 million for Avalon Bay's 29-story apartment building at 45 Stuart St. (next to the currently charred Jacob Wirth). Despite its new name, the building is a couple blocks away from the Common.

A Boston board that oversees a federally mandated limit on the total number of parking spaces in Boston Proper voted last month to forbid any more parking at a lot between Hudson and Harvard streets in Chinatown, arguing the 30-space lot violates the parking cap. Read more.

A bouncer at Game On in the Fenway lost his job after smacking one alleged jerk of a customer in the forehead with his flashlight, while a bouncer at Candibar in the Theater District was suspended for a week after punching a customer who made a particularly crude remark about his 11-year-old daughter.
