Manu reports it accidentally got left behind in a Metro Cab van on a ride back from the airport on Aug. 24. As you can imagine, his daughter would love to get it back.
There was that time Yo-Yo Ma got his cello back after leaving it in a cab. Of course, the driver (unlike the child) may not view this as precious cargo worth holding on to.
...so, I'll tell a good story. I left my briefcase in a Boston cab after returning home from the airport. The cab driver came back within an hour and returned it before I had even tried to call the company about it.
If we're sharing anecdotes, I once left a cell phone in a cab and the driver insisted that I pay $50 for him to drive back to my apartment to give it back to me.
oh no! I hope someone has the heart to reunite them. I would have been utterly forlorn if my favorite stuffed lamb had been left behind when I was a kid. And overcome with guilt! Still have that lamb 30 years later : )
We had summer rental tenants in Maine who accidentally left behind a beloved teddy bear. The kid was inconsolable, so the dad went out and bought an exact replacement and told the kid that he had had the teddy dry cleaned (to explain his sudden newness.) The kid was happy. This year they came back to our house, the kid looks in the toy box and there is his old teddy. That father had some splainin' to do....

Adorable!
Did it have Heron feathers in its mouth?
I think we found the Arboretum heron murderer.
Wonder if the airline
tried to charge the family for an extra seat. And I can't help but think how the dog reminds me of Shoe Shine Boy.
Poor kid
Left behind in a cab = as good as gone. Dude probably threw it out at the end of his shift.
But, we can hope, maybe?

Yeah I left a phone in a cab
Yeah I left a phone in a cab once and I had to pay the phone's fare from the cab's last dropoff (I verified it by it's gps location).
