Uber driver gets probation for putting hands on woman passenger

A judge sentenced Abderrahim Dakiri, 34, of East Boston, to two years of probation after finding him guilty of assault and battery for a 2015 incident involving a passenger in his Uber car, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
Police had charged Dakiri with indecent assault and battery after he put his hands on her in the North End after dropping off three of her friends on Tremont Street and then taking her on a circuitous trip to Endicott Street in the North End,.
On Friday Boston Municipal Court Judge Michael Coyne found him guilty in a jury-waived trial of the lesser offense of assault and battery, the DA's office says.

Probation for sexual assault?
Probation for sexual assault? That will teach him what Boston thinks of sexual predators- try not too, but if you do the city understands, just dont do it again for 2 years. Then you can do whatever you want again.
Just for simple Assault &
Just for simple Assault & Battery (unwanted intentional physical conduct). Either there was no contact with the private parts or it occurred unintentionally.....or it's another typical liberal judge giving undeserved breaks.

What is wrong with these judges and this District Attorney's Office ?
I am convinced that the principal
reason judges in this state routinely flaunt or disregard the prosecution's recommendations concerning charges, bail, sentencing, etc. is because they are afraid of the defense filing an appeal.
By chopping down charges, reducing bail or sentencing, they are sending a message to their defense attorney buddies "See, I'm cutting you and your client a break."
