Teen shot on Milton/Mattapan line

State Police report a 16-year-old was shot on a bike path behind Ryan Playground at River Street and Central Avenue around 5:20 p.m.
State Police say the teen was taken to a local hospital and that he is expected to recover.
State Police assumed jurisdiction because the bike path is on DCR land.

Trump is being held to task for his own words.
Nothing has yet been blamed on him.
Nobody is calling to lock him up or impeach him as was done to Obama before he took office and to HRC w/o any due process.

In poor taste
I said something nasty in the wrong place. I'm in the wrong.
I'm also not playing victim, and Trump wasn't my guy, though I was tempted. But I also didn't freak the F out when Obama was sworn in. I didn't like it, lots of people didn't like it, but no one started a riot either.
Let's all just keep calm and realize that bad stuff (like this story) happens regardless of whether your guy is in the WH or the state house or not.

Dorchester Lower Mills or Milton
Saw the Milton and BPD at the scene in Milton searching the bridge and the bike path across the river from Lower Mills Dorchester. Reports say Mattapan?, the Mattapan neighborhood of Dorchester starts a 1/2 mile to the west on the North side of River St. Dorchester. How does Mattapan get in this, it's not even close, the incident appears to be in Milton.
Wondering, is the 16 year old a victim or perpetrator, that can be a dicey spot after dark.

I'm with you on this
When the Ryan Playground was mentioned, I wondered if the extension of the bike path was opened. But the area around Central Ave (totally in Milton, it should be noted) is nowhere near the Ryan.
The falls are so close that Lower Mills might be more proper. If it were on the older section of path, it's either Milton or Dorchester.
Central Ave Divider
Central Ave Divides Mattapan from Lower Mills according to us locals. TH Central Ave Trolley stop is over the river so its in Milton. However that is the closest T stop to Ryan Playground other than Mattapan. So if youre on the bike path going from Central Ave to Ryan Playground your gonna end up on the Mattapan side. I used to Spend a lot of time on Meadowbank Ave.
There's just a lot of young guys 15-24 in that area who arent necessarily poor but they're lower-middle or working class, feel forgotten, and don't have great job prospects. they live in on the edge of a big city. they are the midway point between Bostons drug economy and some of the southern suburbs with ex-pat Bostonians...Stoughton, Milton, Avon, Brockton, Quincy via a WIDE VARIETY of highways and backroads. And its so lowkey and the whole river street area is under the radar. But it has known a known gang presence from Central Ave to Wood Ave in Hyde Park. Occasionally drug and theft beefs. Some Miltonians were opposed to this renovated bike path for these reasons...
HOW INSENSITIVE
I wonder if you idiots ever think before you type your opinions. In this situation who gives a fuck about the following:
Trump, Where it happen, Is he a good guy or bad guy; like wtf, are you serious,
you heartless, idiotic,. insensitive unfeeling, dorks. May GOD help the way you process your world.
I'm my eyes regardless, a 16 year old child has been hit by gunfire and is possibly fighting for his life.
That alone, no others words should be spoken but Prayers for him, his friends, and family.
Bike Path
I didn't know that the bike path from Central Ave to Mattapan was officially open? I hope the kid is alright and that the Milton residents who fought against the peace bridge connecting the two communities for several years don't take a NIMBY stand.

Can you get some clarification about where this really happened?
The page you linked to says "On The Border of Milton And Mattapan". If so, this is a part of the bike path that is officially still under construction and not yet open.
