Man stabbed to death in Allston

Boston Police report a man found lying on the ground with stab wounds outside 7 Mansfield St. around 11:20 p.m. yesterday. He was pronounced dead at Beth Israel Hospital.

...I'm thinking Allston was a safer place before they cleaned it up, and you could go to Mars Records of Discovery..or Picture Paradise or even the Model Cafe without looking over your shoulder. What happened?

This is the sleepy residential area on the other side of the Pike, on the way to Harvard Stadium. (Which makes it even more unsettling, really.)

I should have actually read the article, but I was just commenting on the amount of stories of violence in Allston.

I remember Lower Allston as a mix of students and people who have been there for a the long haul, and generally quiet except for the occasional party or basement show. Everyone I knew there moved out.

allston halfway house

im not saying the two things are connected but there is a halfway house right near the site of this murder.it is also a cut though for those walking from the other side of the pike heading ino the nieghborhood or towards western ave.
