Man stabbed to death near Ruggles
Updated 3 p.m.
Justin Albert, 22, of the South End, died early today when he was surrounded by a group of men at Cunard and Tremont streets and then stabbed repeatedly, according to Boston Police and the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.
Steven Rolley, 29, of Dorchester, was arrested not long after. He was ordered held without bail at his arraignment today for murder in Roxbury District Court, the DA's office says. Prosecutors say surveillance video shows the men running away in different directions as Albert fell to the ground with fatal stab wounds to the neck and stomach.
A nearby security guard apprehended Rolley, who still had blood on his clothing, just moments after the incident.
The South End News identifies Albert as the grandson of South End activist Jeanette Boone.
Innocent, etc.
