Man robs Beacon Hill drugstore, makes bomb threat to nearby BPL branch as a diversion

Boston Police report a man who robbed the CVS at Charles Circle this morning handed workers a note that said there were bombs both there and at the nearby West End branch of the BPL and to give the man all their good drugs.
Bombs were not found at either location, police say:
The note further stated that someone would be watching the store in the event police were called. Provided police weren't called, in 2 1/2 hours time, bombs would be deactivated in the pharmacy and the library. After receiving an undisclosed amount of prescription drugs, the suspect fled the store on foot.
Because the man could have run across the Longfellow into Cambridge or hopped on the Red Line, Cambridge, State and MBTA police were also brought into the search.

Yeah . . .
. . . I was there like an hour ago- I guess pretty close to after it was held up. There were two police cars parked in front and one officer out front and I thought something happened somewhere and I thought if it was the CVS the officer would shoo me away and the door would be locked- but it wasn't and he didn't say anything to me- and I walked right in. So I thought everything was kosher or if something had happened in there it wasn't that big of a deal and they were still open for business. I walked down an aisle to the pharmacy window and saw one employee's face and I knew she was shook up- and then I saw a group of people around the pharmacy area and they looked at me like I was supposed to say something- but when instead I started to walk down another aisle- (I was looking for sports cream and motrin)- they came after me and said they were closed and that they thought I was a police person and then shooed me politely and apologetically out the door. Felt stupid.
