Man charged with killing woman at Fenway hotel in March

Boston Police report arresting a Revere man on charges he killed a woman in a room at the Verb Hotel, 1271 Boylston St., on March 13.
Police say they could not bring any charges until after July 28, when the state medical examiner's office declared Sarah-Lotte Dorany's death a homicide. Dorany was 29 and a Maynard resident, police say. She was originally from Gottingen, Germany.
Police did not specify a cause of death, but say that first responders were initially called to the hotel around 12:10 p.m. for an "unresponsive" woman who appeared to have suffered a heart attack.
Police say they obtained a warrant charging Aaron Parsons, 43, of Revere, with manslaughter on Monday. On Tuesday, police say, the BPD fugitive unit, US marshals and Maine state troopers arrested him in South Paris, ME.
Parsons is now being held in Maine pending his arraignment on a charge of being a fugitive from justice, which will lead to another hearing on whether he should be sent down here to face charges of manslaughter and engaging in sexual conduct for a fee.

Wow, is that typical?
The woman was found dead on March 13, and it took over four months to determine the cause of death was a homicide? I'm guessing at least part of the delay is Covid-related, but if that's the case for a murder, I can only imagine what else might be churning around in the system.

you made. The delay was probably a function of the pandemic, and crap, what else is being neglected as a result?

More crazy is she was found dead on March 13. And on March 14, her picture was all over the news as a missing person.

pretty sure if this had happened at say The Hotel Buckminster the headline read;
"FOREIGN HOOKER KILLED BY REVERE MAN AT FENWAY HOTEL"

I originally had something about it in the headline, but, from what we know - basically, a short BPD press release - we don't really know if the charge relates to his activities with her.

The "lede" is that this woman was murdered, not whether she was a sex worker or foreign (??).
A headline reading "man killed woman in Prudential Tower" wouldn't be burying the lede by not mentioning why the woman was there, because that reeks of shifting blame and in any case there's a freaking MURDERER on the loose! Let's keep the focus where it belongs.

just based on the headline. Violence against sex workers is rampant and underinvestigated.

Agreed, 100%. That's why phrasing is so important, because if someone reads a headline "sex worker murdered" it's too easy to brush it off, place the blame on the job and not the murderer, and there won't be any public outcry to catch the killer.
I'm not saying to not mention the profession at all, but it definitely shouldn't be considered the "lede".

She worked for Aprilian Homes in Wellesley last year.
She had a law degree
Why call this poor woman a foreign hooker!!! No respect- she had a law degree from Germany’s most prestigious law school and was in real estate. Also, the death of a lawyer is just as troubling as the death of a sex worker.

Has it occurred to some of you that this low life was caught soliciting prostitution in Maine and then found to have warrant?
Why jump to conclusion and then seemingly discount her death as less valid otherwise?
There is an Alan Parsons who is a chef with the Lyons Group in Boston which includes several bars and restaurants in the area of the murder.
Makes for much more likely random meeting gone terribly bad.
