Man pulls knife on bus driver who asks him to cover his face, police say
Transit Police report they are looking for a guy who used a knife as part of his refusal to pull a mask up over his nose on a 1 bus outside Boston Medical Center at Massachusetts Avenue and Albany Street last week.
Police say the guy got on the bus around 8:50 p.m. on Feb. 4:
The MBTA bus operator politely requested he don a mask. The male subject ignored the request and proceeded to speak on his cellular telephone. According to the operator the subject was apparently so troubled by the request to don a mask he was telling the person on the other end of the call about it in unpleasant terms. At some point the male subject approached the operator and stated "Shut the f*** up" or he would "stab" him. Immediately following this threat the male subject produced a knife and lunged at the operator. Fortunately the male subject did not make any contact with the operator.
If he looks familiar, contact detectives at 617-222-1050 or send an anonymous text to 873873.
