Man stabbed at Liberty Hotel; suspect arrested

Boston Police report arresting a man on charges he stabbed somebody in the stomach outside the Liberty Hotel, 215 Charles St., around 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Police say the victim was stabbed multiple times, but none of his injuries were considered life threatening.

Officers broadcasted a description of the suspect, and were alerted by Massachusetts State Police that Troopers located the suspect in the rear of Teddy Ebersol’s Red Sox fields.

Kymani Walker, 19, of Mattapan, was charged with armed assault to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, police say.

Walker was ordered sent to Bridgewater State Hospital to determine his competency to stand trial, court records show. He is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 16.
