Two guys steal mopeds, victims get them back, guys steal them again, this time at gunpoint, then they're arrested, police say

Boston Police report arresting two men they say were really, really insistent on stealing a couple of mopeds.

According to police, Sebastian Fecu, 22, of Dorchester, and Nakeda Strothers, 32, of Roxbury, had developed a side gig stealing mopeds, including one belonging to a guy who was able to track it, and a friend's moped, to 22 Abbot St. in Dorchester. The two victims went over and got their mopeds back.

But then, police say, Fecu and Strothers went to the tracker's home, a couple blocks away on Calder Street, to steal the mopeds back again.

The suspects threatened the victims and they lifted up their shirts which revealed that they both had firearms inside their waistbands.

Officers dispatched to Abbot Street around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday "immediately observed numerous mopeds and trash barrels filled with various moped parts," police say.

After further investigation, officers observed a propped open door and located four individuals inside the residence. Two of the suspects were positively identified and placed into handcuffs. The other two individuals were promptly released and the apartment was secured pending a search warrant.

Members of the Auto Theft Unit seized multiple mopeds and various moped parts from the scene. Officers were able to return one of the stolen mopeds to the rightful owner.

Fecu and Strothers were charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon and larceny over $1,200, records at Dorchester Municipal Court show. They are scheduled for arraignment today.

Innocent, etc.
